What is a Serum?
When people ask us “What is a serum??they usually mean “What does a serum do??The answer to this depends on the formula, but serums can generally be defined as lightweight, concentrated liquids designed to target visible skin concerns, such as uneven skin tone or texture. They are usually water-based and often contain light moisturizers, like hyaluronic acid. Their thin consistency and high fluidity allow them to penetrate the skin quickly and easily, making them suitable for both morning and evening use.

How to Use a Facial Serum?
Because of their light texture, serums are typically applied earlier in your daily skincare routine—usually after cleansing and toning, but before moisturizer or sunscreen. You only need to apply a small amount of serum—typically a pea-sized amount will suffice, which you can lightly cover your face with.
We have a variety of serums to choose from, such as our customer favorite, the potent Vitamin C Serum. This concentrated facial serum contains 12.5% Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, which enhances skin radiance and helps firm the skin. With continuous use, it visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles, minimizes the appearance of pores, and leaves skin looking smoother. Its gentle formula is suitable for all skin types and can be used as part of your daily skincare routine, both morning and night.
Another excellent product for all skin types is our Vitalizing Hyaluronic Super Serum. This fast-absorbing serum is made with 11kDa hyaluronic acid, a type of engineered hyaluronic acid that penetrates deeply into the skin. Clinically proven, this potent yet gentle formula boosts skin strength and helps protect against harmful external stressors like air pollution. It also visibly improves skin texture, enhances radiance, and over time, leaves your skin looking more youthful and glowing.
What is a Facial Oil?
As you might have guessed, facial oils are oil-based liquid skincare products specifically designed for the face. They’re usually made with non-comedogenic plant oils and essential oils (non-comedogenic means they won’t clog pores). Facial oils often also contain plant extracts and antioxidants. These rich, emollient formulas help moisturize and soften the skin, nourish the skin’s natural moisture barrier, and address skin issues like dryness or dullness.
How to Use a Facial Oil?
Generally speaking, facial oils should be applied at the end of your skincare routine because they can help seal in moisture and prevent it from evaporating. You don’t need to use too much—typically, two to three drops are enough. You can press it into your entire face or apply it to drier areas to make your skin look naturally hydrated and dewy.
If you’re new to facial oils, we recommend starting with a lightweight facial oil serum, such as the Daily Reviving Concentrate. Its antioxidant-rich formula contains sunflower seed oil and tamanu oil, which revitalizes the skin and helps eliminate visible signs of fatigue. It’s also non-comedogenic, making it suitable for all skin types and ideal for daily use. Simply pat a few drops of the oil onto your face at the end of your morning routine to leave your skin looking fresh and healthy.
