Share A Cleanser That's Perfect For Combination Skin

If you’ve ever dealt with oily to combination skin, you’ll understand the importance of using deep cleansing skincare products. Given my skin falls into this temperamental category, I’m well aware of the power of AHA and BHA, as well as oil-absorbing ingredients like clay in cleansers. When used together, they can effectively and gently remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling refreshed, matte, and smooth. That’s why I couldn’t wait to try the new Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing and Polishing Clay Cleanser because it combines both of these categories of ingredients. Here’s what happened when I gave it a try! This clay powder formula contains Amazonian white clay and fruit acids, acting as exfoliants to help purify and clear impurities from the skin. It’s designed to refine and visibly reduce the appearance of large pores, which got me intrigued about how my combination skin would adapt to it and its texture. Full disclosure: I’ve never used a powder cleanser before, so it was a new experience for me. I gently shook a dime-sized amount of powder into wet palms and massaged it until it transformed into a lightweight foam. I then applied it to my entire face, gently massaging the foam onto my skin in circular motions for a deep cleanse. After rinsing, my skin felt incredibly smooth. I did feel that the clay wash gently removed the surface dead skin cells without making it overly dry or stripped - quite the opposite. My complexion looked and felt incredibly clean and soothed. Post-rinse, I applied the rest of my skincare and makeup as usual, and my skin had a noticeable glow all day long. For those with oily and combination skin types, this deep cleansing formula is something worth considering, as it truly delivers on its claims. After a few weeks of use, I noticed my skin becoming smoother without that tight or flaky feeling - which is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
